Flooding sees trains cancelled from Bristol Temple Meads and other stations
Salisbury, Bath Spa and Westbury are among the other stations affected, says National Rail
All train lines are blocked between Bristol Temple Meads and Salisbury due to flooding.
Train services running through the stations have been cancelled, with disruption expected until the end of today (December 29).
South Western Railway (SWR) says: We have been informed of flooding between Salisbury and Bristol Temple Meads. As a result no trains will be able to run between these stations today.
The operator says customers can use their SWR tickets at no extra cost on GWR services between Salisbury and Temple Meads, if they resume.
The disruption of services is expected to continue until the end of today (Tuesday). The Castle Mead link road in Trowbridge could be closed for two months or more A KEY road linking the Castle Mead estate to the West Ashton Road could close for up to two months and possibly longer. Wiltshire Council has posted notices saying the road from the Radstock Co-op store at Huntingfield to the West Ashton Road will be closed from January 4. The road is heavily used by locals on the Castle Mead estate and as a cut through from the A361 at Leap Gate to the West Ashton Road. Its closure will lead to long detours for residents who use it.
