Avon and Somerset Police were at the scene as motorists were urged to use an alternate route. Highways England said in the early hours of today (July 12): The A36 is closed in both directions between the A366 near Trowbridge and A4 near Bath due to a collision. Emergency Services, including Avon and Somerset Police are in attendance. Information from scene indicates that this closure will be protracted. Traffic is diverted via local roads.
