RECAP: A36 closed after double-fatal collision

The A36 was closed in both directions between Bathampton and Norton St Philip following a collision in which two men died.
Avon and Somerset Police were at the scene as motorists were urged to use an alternate route.
Highways England said in the early hours of today (July 12): The A36 is closed in both directions between the A366 near Trowbridge and A4 near Bath due to a collision. Emergency Services, including Avon and Somerset Police are in attendance. Information from scene indicates that this closure will be protracted. Traffic is diverted via local roads.
