Reading time is logged online to acquire points to enter prize raffles. Book reviews can be submitted for extra points. This program supports lifelong learning and a love of reading for everyone. The program runs from Dec. 28 through Feb.12, 2021. You can sign up at any time during the Winter Reading Program.

During each week, the two libraries will hold drawings for prizes such as themed gift baskets, gift cards to local restaurants, stickers, games, art kits and books. Readers are eligible for these prizes each week that they log at least one book.
In addition to the local prize drawings, the 10 libraries in Santa Barbara County with the highest participation in the challenge will win virtual visits from authors such as Sharon M. Draper and Stuart Gibbs, as well as a collection of 50 books from the Simon & Schuster Books Like Us collection.
The Santa Maria Main Library, at 421 S. McClelland St., is also holding two Winter Reading Programs. Through the youth program, which runs through Jan. 23, participants can log their reading online for a prize and entry into a grand drawing at the end of the program. Those who complete the program also receive an award from the library.
A âWinter Reading Advisory!â has been issued for the Three Oaks area. This Winter Reading Program for adults at the Three Oaks Township Public Library will begin on Monday, January 4, 2021, and end on Friday, March 26, 2021.
Registration begins on January 4 and the first 30 people will receive a cute mug that is perfect to fill with cocoa as you snuggle up with a good book. Each book completed will enter you into the drawing to win a prize on Monday, March 29, 2021.

Looking to get outside for a walk during winter break? The Dallas Public Library, Dallas Downtown Association and local businesses are teaming to feature a kidâs Christmas âStorywalkâ in downtown Dallas throughout December. Participants are invited to walk through downtown Dallas reading the illustrated pages of âMerry Christmas, Squirrels!â by Nancy Rose.
The story will be posted on windows of downtown businesses.
The Dallas Library will provide maps of the business windows featuring each numbered page of the book. Get the maps at the library through their curbside service. Just pull up to the library entrance off Jefferson Street and call the curbside number posted on the book drop.
