BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) â Dense fog which moved in during the early morning hours and reduced the visibility at the Branch County Memorial Airport to less than a quarter mile forced school districts to either delay classes on Friday or cancel them altogether.
Bronson Community Schools closed for the day. Superintendent Steve Wilson said they closed because they were originally scheduled to have just a half day of classes.
Union City Community Schools also closed for Friday. Superintendent Ronna Steele said in a post on the districtâs Facebook page, âWe have significant fog in our area this morning. We also have a large number of students that are already absent due to quarantine or illness. Considering these factors, I am going to cancel school for today, Friday, May 7th. Please take the time to rest, and we will see everyone Monday.â
