Deschutes County commissioners OK $2.85 million in American Rescue Plan spending KTVZ file Includes child care center, managed camp for homeless, Veterans Village, Redmond motel conversion to shelter BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) Deschutes County commissioners on Wednesday approved initial American Rescue Plan Act investments for projects that total more than $2.85 million.  “We’re looking critically at the ways we can make strategic investments to help move our communities forward,” said Deschutes County Commissioner Tony DeBone. “These funds represent a unique opportunity for regional partnership as we all work together toward recovery.” Initial ARPA investments approved by the Board of Commissioners include:
