Parents are being advised to warn their children about online predators after a Terrebonne man was arrested Tuesday for preying on a minor. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU), Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP, along with OPP Digital Forensics investigators arrested 55-year old Thomas Tammler after an online undercover operation. He was charged with luring a child and obtaining sexual services from a person under 18 years. The OPP has seen an increase in online offences by people intent on the sexual exploitation of children. As a result, members of OPP CSEU are actively conducting proactive online luring investigations to aggressively target these offenders. SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – Members of the SD&G Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit assisted by the OPP Digital Forensic Unit ,Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, RCMP, United Kingdom police and the Cornwall Police Service conducted a child pornography investigation.
On February 26, 2021 SD&G Crime Unit members arrested and charged a male, age 28, of South Glengarry, Ontario under the Criminal Code (CC) with;
– Criminal Code sec. 163.1(4) Adult Possession of Child Pornography
– CC 163.1(3) Imports, Distributes, Sells or Possession for the Purpose of Distribution or Sale any Child Pornography

SOUTH GLENGARRY – A local man is facing seven charges following a child pornography investigation that involved police in the United Kingdom.
SD&G O.P.P. say the 28-year-old man was arrested Friday (Feb. 26).
He is charged with adult possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, failing to comply with a release order, invitation to sexual touching and sexual assault on a person younger than 16, sexual interference and publication of child pornography.
In addition to the U.K. police, the O.P.P. says the investigation involved the O.P.P. Digital Forensic Unit, Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, Cornwall Police Service and the RCMP.
