ROCHESTER – It’s 40 weeks since we began this column. We started the column to share what we were doing for the community during the initial stay-at-home orders. We have been offering our patrons a variety of ways to enjoy library services while at home ever since, such as requesting items through our popular RPL-To-Go or enjoying our streaming options and our Children’s Room has been offering various do-at-home projects, recommending books and keeping our youngest patrons engaged with the library.
New Titles
We are always getting new titles for our collections. If you’ve been waiting for a title or just looking to try something different, be sure to check out the New Items page on our website at https://rplcatalog.org/ftlis.

Purchasing a Membership to a Childrenâs Museum during a pandemic might not sound like it makes a lot of sense but there are several good reasons to look into it. âThe Museum is open now Thursdays through Saturdays with two timed play sessions per day from 9:00-11:30 a.m. or 1:00-3:30 p.m.,â shared CMNH President Jane Bard. âWe limit each session to only 50 visitors, which is well below even 10% of our capacity, which would be 250 visitors. Everyone who visits and is over the age of 24 months is required to wear a mask, we clean all surfaces and museum props before and after each session, and we have so many places to clean your hands including new hand sanitizer stations throughout th
