ALLEGAN COUNTY An Allegan County man has lost his appeal for a new trial.
The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled Andrew Wuis Johnson is still guilty of a second degree criminal sexual conduct stemming from a 2017 incident. The victim in this crime was Johnson s stepchild, who was younger than 13 at the time.
According to court documents, while the victim s mother was out around Thanksgiving 2017, Johnson came back into the house after milking cows and sat on the couch next to the victim. He then touched her under her shorts.
The victim told her mother about the incident several months later, after which she underwent a medical exam and an interview with a Children s Protective Services case worker.
