RAMALLAH, Thursday, December 31, 2020 (WAFA) – Palestine marks tonight the 56th anniversary of the launch of the Palestinian resistance and national liberation movement against the Israeli occupation with the lighting of the torch in Ramallah, according to a senior leader.
Azzam al-Ahmad, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Fatah Central Committee, told the official Voice of Palestine radio this morning that the lighting of the torch will take place at the grave of the late leader of the Palestinian resistance movement, Yasser Arafat, at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah in the presence of members of the PLO’s Executive Committee, Fatah’s Central Committee, and members of the Fatah Revolutionary

Newspapers Review: The coronavirus and its new variant were highlighted by the Palestinian dailies
RAMALLAH, Monday, December 21, 2020 (WAFA) – The coronavirus toll in Palestine and its new variant that is causing concern all over the world were highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today in the occupied territories.
Al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida highlighted the corona toll at home and said that 24 people have died of corona and 1427 new cases were recorded in Palestine in 24 hours.
The third daily, al-Quds, said the new coronavirus variant is out of control in Britain and that many countries have stopped flights to the United Kingdom.
