Lithuanian cabinet approves new ambassadors to US, Germany

The Lithuanian government decided on Wednesday to nominate career diplomat Audra Plepytė for ambassador to the United States, and propose Ramūnas Misiulis for ambassador to Germany.
If appointed by the president, Plepytė will take office on May 18, while Misiulis will assume his position on May 10.
The cabinet also approved Andrius Namavičius for ambassador to the Council of Europe, and Rytis Paulauskas, for ambassador to the United Nations.
Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis told the cabinet that all four candidates had been approved by the host countries.
