Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko has ended the 2020 LPGA Tour season with a solid performance at the CME Group Tour Championship.
Ko, who won the event in 2014, has finished in a share of fifth place, seven shots behind winner Jin Young Ko.
The Kiwi fired a final round three-under 69 to end the tournament at 11-under. It was a bogey free round for Ko with three birdies at holes six, seven and 16.
She ends the latest LPGA season without a win for the second straight year but she still recorded five top 10 finishes including a second placing at the Marathon Classic in June when she coughed up a late five shot lead.

World number one Ko Jin-young stormed to victory at the season-ending Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour event in Florida, winning by five shots.
Ko, who started the day one shot behind her compatriot Kim Sei-Young, the world number two and defending champion, shot a six-under-par round of 66 to record a convincing victory in the CME Group Tour Championship at Tiburón Golf Club.
Ko s round featured seven birdies and just one dropped shot as she finished at a total of 18-under-par.
With the two South Korean players tied at the midway point of the final round, Ko s five birdies on the back nine made the difference.

This was not the way the LPGA planned on celebrating its 70th birthday, but really nothing could have honored the 13 Founders who created the Tour in 1950 better than the way this generation struggled through 2020. The diverse daughters of today’s LPGA did the mothers of the Tour proud.

Lydia Ko should break her winning drought in 2021.
It’s been 32 months since New Zealand’s greatest golfer triumphed in a tournament. Her most recent attempt to break that barren streak ended limply when she faltered in the final round of the US Women’s Open on Tuesday morning (NZ time).
Ko’s five-over 76 was another disappointing finish for the 23-year-old, who will end her abbreviated 2020 LPGA season at the CME Group Tour Championship which began with a disappointing round on Friday (NZ time).
