A woman has been fined £1,600 for causing a crash which killed one of her close friends.
Police at the scene after the shooting A MAN from Widnes has been charged in connection with a shooting which left a man with life-changing injuries. The 55-year-old victim was shot in the leg outside an address on Poplars Avenue in Warrington on the evening of Friday, April 24. Several gunshots were fired outside the house at around 8.45pm on the night in question, with armed police rushing to the scene. Fifty-one-year-old Alan Tobin, of Regency Park, has now been charged with conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the shooting. He appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on Friday, December 18, alongside 40-year-old John Tobin, of Liverpool, who has been charged with participating in the activities of an organised crime group.
