Shenzhen top city in China in attracting new residents

Neighboring Hong Kong, Shenzhen in South China s Guangdong Province has become the most attractive city for new residents in the province and even in the whole country, thanks to its solid economic development, official data showed.
According to Guangdong s statistical bureau on Saturday, the population in the province as of the end of 2020 was 126 million, 21.7 million higher than in 2010 - a 20.81 percent increase in 10 years or an average yearly increase of 1.91 percent.

Insolvency cases in Hong Kong are likely to be recognized on the Chinese mainland and vice versa, after authorities from both places signed a document in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, on Friday.
The agreement, signed between the Supreme People s Court and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, is the ninth document on judicial assistance in civil and commercial matters between the SAR and the Chinese mainland, and is likely to further boost investor confidence and facilitate cross-boundary business and trade.

BEIJING China wants to improve the sorting and utilization of household garbage in urban areas in the next five years. Authorities set specific targets for urban garbage treatment in the 2021-2025 period.
The country aims to boost the utilization rate of urban household waste to around 60 percent by the end of 2025, said a plan jointly released by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
