Clarence J Urban

Clarence J. Urban was born to Albert and Anna Urban in Robstown, Texas, on July 22, 1930, and left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior on July 8, 2021, at the age of 90. Clarence graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1948 and then attended Del Mar College. He worked for two years with civil service at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station and then became employed with Southwestern Bell/AT&T. He was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1951 and served in telecommunications until 1953 when he was honorably discharged at which time, he returned to Corpus Christi to continue his lifelong career with Southwestern Bell/AT&T. On April 11, 1953, he married his childhood sweetheart, Elizabeth Ann Wendt. They were married for 58-1/2 years until her death. They had two daughters, Deborah and Lucinda.

Guadalupe County officials provide COVID-19 update

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today Feb 26, 2021 5:12 AM (Seguin) – In the midst of a historic winter storm, all eyes remained on efforts to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. That’s according to Patrick Pinder, the Guadalupe County emergency management officer. Pinder on Tuesday provided the Guadalupe County Commissioners Court with the latest breakdown on those efforts. The first, of course, was on the hospitalizations of residents in the county specifically at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. “This hospital currently has 13 patients hospitalized for COVID. That number has gone down significantly over the last few weeks. It’s good news to see. Talking to them, they are not having as much issues over there. They have two people per day coming in for COVID and are admitted. That’s good news. That’s good to see. I’m thinking that the numbers since last week everybody stayed home with the winter weather, hopefully, that number will gone down and those hospital numbers

Money to be used to expedite test results in the hospital lab. (Seguin) – Patients at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center no longer have to wait for the lab results that they need. Health officials at the GRMC say they are thankful to Baptist Health Foundation of San Antonio for “blessing” the GRMC lab with a $140,000 grant for lab testing equipment, equipment they say will now expedite results. Cody Knowlton, Baptist Health Foundation president and CEO, says the foundation is committed to serving those who serve others.

Guadalupe County gives update on COVID-19 case numbers, potential arrival for vaccine

Seguin, TX, USA / Seguin Today Dec 16, 2020 12:02 AM (Seguin) Guadalupe County continues to keep a close on the rising COVID-19 cases in the area. Patrick Pinder, the Guadalupe County emergency management coordinator assigned to the county’s COVID-19 response, shared the latest numbers during Tuesday’s meeting of the Guadalupe County Commissioners Court. “We have 202 confirmed active cases in the county; 126 probable active cases in the county; 750 probable recovered cases in the county. We have 4, 714 people who have recovered. We have 47 deaths reported in Guadalupe County. We have 5,839 cases total reported in the county and we have 110 to be determined. GRMC notified me this morning (Tuesday) that they have 24 patients in the hospital. Last week, on Thursday, they had 18. (Monday), they had 28. Today, (Tuesday), they are at 24 so you can see that the number has kind of gone up and it’s going down a little bit. Their seven day average is 23 as of this morning (Tuesday
