The government of Guam has spent $73.5 million out of $118 million in CARES Act funds that it received to provide relief for the island, according to a report issued Wednesday by the Office of Public Accountability.
The most expenditures, as of Nov. 30, were by Public Health, totaling $19.95 million, followed by the Guam Economic Development Authority, at $16.62 million and Guam Homeland Security at $13,59 million.
Guam Hospital Memorial Authority was fifth on the list, at $4.29 million. The Guam Department of Education spent $1 million, and the Guam Visitors Bureau spent $114,000.
