GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. Gwinnett fire officials said one person received minor injuries escaping from a rear window at a duplex in unincorporated Norcross late Friday night.
According to a release from Lt. Justin Wilson with the Gwinnett County Fire Department, crews responded at about 11:57 p.m., after a neighbor of the home in the 5800 block of Kay Drive, called 911.
Initially, Wilson said, Gwinnett Police were dispatched to a possible domestic disturbance in the area, but this was later determined to be commotion from the occupants of the home evacuating the burning building.

A busy Gwinnett County roadway was shut down for more than 12 hours after a tanker truck overturned.
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Firefighters said an overturned gasoline tanker shut down a busy Gwinnett County intersection for a little more than 12 hours and spilled thousands of gallons of fuel Tuesday. All roads have since reopened, but the cleanup could take a little longer.
Braselton Highway and Hamilton Mill Road shut down shortly before 5:30 a.m. after that tanker trunk turned on its side, causing two spits in the tanker. Firefighters said about 3,000 gallons of fuel flowed into the storm drain before a HAZMAT team was able to contain the spill.

Fire crews are now working to determine the cause of the deadly blaze.
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Firefighters are working to determine the cause of a deadly late-night house fire in Gwinnett County.
Officials tell FOX 5 that firefighters were called to the home on Whitney Park Drive in Duluth shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday.
When they got to the scene, crews found heavy flames and smoke visible from the two-story home and met with an elderly man and a caretaker who were able to get out.
One other person, described as an elderly woman, was trapped in an upstairs bedroom at the back of the home.
