The body of a woman missing in Gwinnett County since Sunday was found in the crawlspace of a home near Bethlehem early Tuesday.
Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith announced that investigators went to the house on Tanners Bridge Road, located in a neighborhood south of the city of Bethlehem, and found the body buried in the crawlspace.
The body was positively identified as that of Kim Mason, a woman in her 40s who was reported missing by a family member in Gwinnett County, according to the Gwinnett County Police Department.
Mason’s body has been sent to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, the sheriff said.

HOSCHTON, Ga. Police have issued a Mattie s Call for a missing Hoschton, Georgia man who they said drove away from his home last Friday and hasn t been seen since.
On Monday, the Gwinnett County Police Department issued a Mattie’s Call - Georgia s statewide alert for missing endangered disabled and elderly people - for Ricky Howland, 51.
Police said Howland has a medical condition that requires constant supervision and assistance.
Howland, according to police, left his home on Mark Todd Court in Hoschton on April 2 in a 2010 Nissan Rouge with Georgia tag RVV9421. Police said it’s possible Howland left home to try and visit family in Iowa.

BARROW COUNTY, Ga. - Investigators in Barrow County said they have arrested a man after finding the body of a missing Gwinnett County woman under the crawlspace of a home Tuesday morning.
Adam Heard was booked into the Barrow County Detention Center on charges of concealing the death of another, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, theft by taking – motor vehicle, theft by taking, and violation of probation.
Deputies said Heard was arrested after discovering the body of Kim Mason, who was reported missing out of Gwinnett County, buried in the crawlspace of a house along Tanners Bridge Road near Monroe Highway.
Police chase in Coweta County ends in double-fatal crash

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - Two suspects fled from authorities and led them on a chase in Coweta County on Friday evening, officials said, and the chase ended in a double-fatal accident.
Authorities said a 30-year-old man and 28-year-old woman died in Fulton County after leading Coweta County Sheriff s Officers on a pursuit.
Officials said two patrol cars were stationed on an Interstate 85 exit near Weldon Road when a car with a defective headlight passed them. A patrol car followed and the suspect s vehicle illegally passed a car stopped at a red light then turned onto Collinsworth Road, officials said.
