GWINNETT COUNTY, GA Georgians have gotten used to Amazon delivering just about anything you can imagine. But it s not every day that Amazon delivers a scholarship.
That s how Sierra Frisbee of Braselton received her $40,000 Amazon Future Engineer scholarship earlier this month carried by one of Amazon s electric Scout units during a lunchtime ceremony at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology (GSMST) in Lawrenceville.
High schools in the North Fulton region claimed top spots nationally and statewide on the U.S. News and World Report’s list of “2021 Best High Schools.”

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA Fourteen high-school seniors from Gwinnett County are among 73 throughout Georgia to receive a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship for 2021. The latest winners were announced Wednesday.
They are:

Madeline C. Busse, North Gwinnett High School, Suwanee
Nikita R. Dandekar, Peachtree Ridge High School, Suwanee
Isaac Y. Hwang, Peachtree Ridge High School, Suwanee
Brian S. Ji, Peachtree Ridge High School, Suwanee
Caren H. Kim, North Gwinnett High School, Suwanee
Megha Mishra, North Gwinnett High School, Suwanee

HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL Homewood-Flossmoor High School has been named one of the best high schools in Illinois, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
This year s list ranks more than 440 public high schools throughout the state. Among those schools, Homewood-Flossmoor was ranked at 175.
The purpose of the rankings is to provide insight into academic performance among underserved groups, showing how well schools are supporting these students, Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News, said in a news release.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights has been named one of the best high schools in Illinois, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
This year s list ranks more than 440 public high schools throughout the state. Among those schools, Bloom Trail was ranked at 339.
