Messenger EVERYONE talks about administrative corruption and its heroes among the employees of our rational government. The corruption in Kuwait Municipality is so much rampant and is present in a very shameful way. It is the corruption that our late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad (May God rest his soul) had described as “Municipality corruption cannot be carried by camels”. To that I add, “O Bu Nasser, the corruption of our government employees cannot be carried even by  trucks, not just camels”. The problem is that the top officials in the government, starting from His Highness the Prime Minister to the ministers, undersecretaries and senior employees to whom independent organizations with budgets of millions have recently been assigned, watch corruption as if it is happening in other places.

Messenger KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: Government agencies have begun procedures for the second batch of trainers tasked to develop the skills of national manpower in these institutions to promote integrity and transparency, follow up corruption cases, and implement the national anti-corruption strategy under the supervision of Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily obtained a copy of a report stating that the Secretariat General of the Supreme Council for Planning has followed up with Nazaha the steps to create a platform for coordination between the supervisory agencies, support and activate accountability tools for any failure, reward the deserving, and cooperate with civil society institutions and the private sector to implement the National Strategy to Promote Integrity and Combat Corruption.

FM urged to open direct flights from Egypt - ARAB TIMES

Messenger KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6: Head of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students (NUKS)-Egypt branch Ahmad Al- Maadadi has appealed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to open airspace for direct travel from Egypt to Kuwait to allow Kuwaitis who are studying in Egypt to return home, especially since these students are on school break until Feb 20, reports Al-Anba daily. In an exclusive statement to the daily, Al-Maadadi disclosed the closure of airspace between the two countries had a negative impact on the students due to high prices of plane tickets and the suffering they could experience while in transit in other countries.
