Dubai: Saudi Arabia on Tuesday reported 223 new COVID-19 cases and four more deaths, pushing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 366,807 and fatality tally to 6,359.
According to the latest update by the Ministry of Health, the Kingdom’s total recoveries have climbed to 358,340 as 203 patients have fully recovered in the last 24 hours, with the recovery rate rising to 97.69 per cent.
The active cases have now touched 2,108, out of which 338 are critical cases under intensive care.

A further 505 people have tested positive for coronavirus, while three people died of the infection in Kuwait in the last 24 hours.
Kuwait City: The head of the COVID-19 team at Kuwait’s Ministry of Health, Dr Hashem Al Hashemi, has revealed that there has been a two per cent increase in COVID-19 patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) compared to last month, Al Jarida reported.
Al Hashemi also announced that bed occupancy for COVID-19 patients has increased - from 7 per cent at the end of December to 9 per cent in the middle of January.
As for the percentage of positive COVID-19 cases to swabs conducted, there has also been a slight increase given that a month ago Kuwait was at 4 per cent compared to 5.2 per cent in the past week.
Kuwait City: The spokesman of Kuwait’s Ministry of Health, Abdullah Al Sanad, revealed on Wednesday that Kuwait has become one of the countries that is witnessing a decline in COVID-19 cases.
While Kuwait has seen stability in containing the spread of the virus, Al Sanad called on citizens and residents to continue to adhere to the health measures put in place.
In the past week, the per cent of confirmed COVID-19 cases to swabs conducted, averaged around 4.6 per cent, a steep decline from the past few months where the average was sitting at 10 to 12 per cent.
In addition, on Wednesday Kuwait did not report any COVID-19 deaths.
