Manipur launches Emergency Response Support System, 112 ready for dial
The CM of Manipur on Saturday launched the ERSS for emergency dialling by people in times of distress; declares 112 as the number for all services.

Imphal: The Manipur government on Saturday launched the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) in the state for emergency calls in times of need. Launched by the Chief Minister N Biren Singh in 1st battalion Manipur Rifles premises in Imphal, the number 112 was declared as the emergency number in keeping with the Government of India s vision of integrating all emergency services with the same number.
Manipur launches ‘Emergency Response Support System’ to help people in distress
Official source said that ERSS is designed to address distress signals from citizens which are received in the form of voice calls, sms, e-mails, panic SOS requests, web requests among others. December 19, 2020 9:32:14 pm
CM Biren Singh said that the ERSS would enable the authority to help people more effectively at the time of emergency.
Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh Saturday launched the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS), a unified system, to attend to emergency requests from citizens.
Official source said that ERSS is designed to address distress signals from citizens which are received in the form of voice calls, sms, e-mails, panic SOS requests, web requests among others. All these distress signals are sent to the common number 112.
