KOLKATA/SITALKUCHI/JALPAIGURI: TMC candidate and West Bengal minorities affairs minister Giyasuddin Molla suffered a grievous head injury when attacked on Wednesday evening at Rajarhat by men allegedly belonging to Indian Secular Front and BJP, while Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh’s convoy was attacked by suspected TMC activists in Cooch Behar’s Sitalkuchi on Wednesday.
Molla was taken to a local nursing home, while agitated supporters set ablaze a bus stationed on the side of a road. “I was attacked when I was on my way home. Goons from ISF and BJP attacked me with bamboo poles,” Molla said.

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday submitted a complaint to the Election Commission (EC) against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as well workers of the Trinamool Congress over their alleged involvement in an attack of Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh s car the day before.

Kolkata: West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh’s car was attacked in Cooch Behar on Wednesday. It has been alleged that Ghosh was allegedly attacked when he was leaving after attending an election event in the Sitalkuchi area.
Times Now’s Sreyashi Dey said that the incident took place after Ghosh finished a sabha in Cooch Behar’s Sitalkuchi and moving towards another scheduled election program. The Bengal BJP chief claimed that people waving Trinamool Congress flags hurled crude bombs at him. He also said that a brick was thrown at his car which broke the window and his shoulder got injured.
