June 9, 2021 – Universities continue to turn to executive search firms to find new athletic directors. Chicago-based DHR International recently assisted Northwestern University in the recruitment of Derrick Gragg as the Combe Family vice president for athletics & recreation. He succeeds Mike Polisky, who resigned as the university’s athletic director last month. Caitlin Clark Now Playing Veteran Role in Seeking to Make USA U19 World Cup Team

Caitlin Clark knows all about bringing along the younger players.
She was one of the youngest players asked to try out for USA Basketball’s 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup Team. Clark made the team and played a surprisingly key role in helping the USA win the gold medal.
Two years later, Clark is a two-time gold medalist and one of 25 participants attempting to make the 2021 version of the same team this weekend at Metro State University in Denver.
Saint Louis assistant coach Ford Stuen dies at 29

Ford Stuen, who played college basketball at Oklahoma State and most recently was an assistant coach at Saint Louis, died Tuesday at age 29.
Saint Louis announced his passing on Wednesday but did not state a cause of death. Media reports in St. Louis said he had been hospitalized since Easter with a stomach infection.
His uncle, Travis Ford, is the head coach of the Billikens. Stuen played for him at Oklahoma State from 2012-16 and spent five seasons on the staff at Saint Louis, the past two as an assistant coach after serving as director of player development.
