Study identifies strengths and challenges of responding to dual disasters

The research is published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, available here. Two major crises hit Louisiana and coastal communities in the Southeastern United States in 2020 - a significant increase in the frequency and severity of hurricanes, and the COVID-19 pandemic, says Benjamin Springgate, MD, MPH, Chief of Community & Population Medicine at LSU Health New Orleans School of Medicine.
