KURIANWALA:
A young man riding a motorcycle was killed after a kite string slit his throat in the city on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the victim was coming to Faisalabad for shopping when the incident took place.
Police took the body into custody and handed it over to his heirs after taking necessary action.

At least four people including a woman were killed while six others sustained injuries in separate road accidents in Faisalabad on Tuesday.
A 50-year-old man was hit by an unidentified vehicle while crossing Sheikhupura Road, near Adda Johal.
He was rushed to Allied Hospital Faisalabad where he succumbed to his injuries. In addition to this, 32-year Shoaib, the son of Nawab, was killed in a vehicle collision on Chiniot Road, Faisalabad.
Moreover, 35-year-old Irfan, the son of Afzal, sustained injuries after he fell from a motorcycle on Shahkot Road.

A boy and girl tried to commit suicide by consuming poisonous pills after their families did not agree to get them married of their own choice in Sammundri.
Reportedly, the girl died while the boy was rushed to a hospital in a critical condition. Police handed over both the girl’s body to her heirs after taking necessary action.
The boy was still in a critical condition at the hospital.
According to the police report, 17-year-old Sanam, the daughter of Piran and a resident of Chak No 138GB, was in love with Rana Akash, a resident of the same village. The two wanted to get married but Rana s family did not agree.

Punjab: A young couple from Samundri committed suicide after their families’ disapproval of their marriage. Both the girl and the boy consumed poisonous pills and took their own lives.
According to the reports, the girl was just 17 years of age and she took this grave step after her lover’s family did not approve of him getting married out of his own will.
Identified as Sanam, she was the daughter of Piran and a resident of Chak No 138GB. She was in love with Rana Akash, a resident of the same village and the two wanted to get married. However, Rana’s family did not agree.
Two women allegedly murdered
DIJKOT:
Two women were allegedly murdered in separate incidents in Dijkot on Friday.
Police said a woman, who ran away from her home, was killed by her brother and buried in a nearby graveyard.
Police arrested the suspect and registered a case after recovering the victim’s body.
As per the police report, 32-year-old Jati Bibi was married to Muhammad Nawaz, a resident of Pakpattan Sharif, in the suburb village of Mouza Shadi, Sadat Kalanwala. She had fled with her paramour 11 days ago.
Her brother Liaquat brought her back to their village. On the day of the incident, Liaquat allegedly killed his sister by stran- gling her using a dupatta around her neck while she was asleep. Reportedly, the victim was murdered in the name of honour.
