New Delhi, Jan 10 : The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has strongly objected the new WhatsApp privacy policy through which all kinds of personal data, payment transactions, contacts, location and other vital information of a person who is using WhatsApp will be acquired by it and can be used for any purpose by WhatsApp.
In a communication sent to Minister for Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad, CAIT has demanded that the government should immediately restrict WhatsApp from implementing the new policy or put a ban on WhatsApp and its parent company Facebook.

New Delhi, Jan 3 : The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Sunday said it has targeted to reduce imports from China to Rs 1 lakh crore this year.
In a statement, the traders body said it would run a programme this year to liberate the country s e-commerce business from the clutches of foreign companies. As part of its Boycott Chinese Goods campaign from June 10, 2020, the CAIT has set the target of bringing down imports from China by Rs 1 lakh crore by the end of this year, the traders body added.

The Confederation of All India Traders’ complaints against e-commerce giants Flipkart and Amazon have been forwarded by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to the Enforcement Directorate and the Reserve Bank of India “for necessary action.”
DPIIT forwarded four complaints by the traders’ body to the two agencies saying CAIT had alleged that e-commerce companies were in violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) rules and FDI policy by adopting illegal structuring/investments and practices.
