New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday (April 25, 2021) extended the complete lockdown in the national capital by one more week due to the deteriorating COVID-19 situation.
The COVID-19-induced lockdown in Delhi which was supposed to be in effect till April 26 morning will now remain in place till May 3. We had imposed a 6-day lockdown in Delhi. The lockdown is being extended to next Monday till 5 AM, the Delhi CM said in a press brief. The Central and State teams are working together, the AAP supremo stated.

New Delhi: The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Friday (April 23, 2021) asked the Arvind Kejriwal-led government to extend the COVID-19-induced lockdown in the national capital. They also decided to shut markets for one more week.
The announcement regarding the closure of markets was made by CAIT s Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal on Saturday (April 24). The Traders Body took the voluntary decision to keep markets closed from April 26 till May 2. As and when the situation is improved, the lockdown can be lifted, the confederation said in a statement.

New Delhi, April 24 : Traders in Delhi will observe voluntary lockdown for one more week to assist the government in bringing down the Covid numbers, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said on Saturday.
Accordingly, more than 100 leading associations from all parts of Delhi have decided to observe Voluntary Self Lockdown from April 26 April to May 2.
