Bhubaneswar: Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts, an Indian Ocean hospitality group, has appointed Souvagya Mohapatra as the Managing Director for India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bhutan.

New Delhi [India], April 19 (ANI): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday spoke to various business and Chamber leaders and took their inputs on industry and association-related matters.
Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said the Centre is working with state governments to save lives and livelihoods.
She said this during an interaction with industry chambers on concerns of India Inc with respect to the second wave of the pandemic.
She is learnt to have also sought feedback on the impact on businesses and the Indian economy.
Some heads of industry chambers with whom she interacted include Kotak Mahindra Bank managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) Uday Kotak, who is also president of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Uday Shankar of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Deb Mukherjee of Bengal Chamber of Commerce and TR Parasuraman of Bangalore Chamber of Commerce.

GUWAHATI: Union minister of state (Independent) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Jitendra Singh said the unexplored potential resources of the northeast will play a crucial role in the country’s economy in the post-Covid era.
Addressing the 37th annual session of FICCI-FLO on Thursday, Singh said, “With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intervention, the 100 years-old Indian Forest Act has been amended to exempt home grown bamboo from it, while import duty on bamboo products has been hiked in order to promote domestic bamboo products. The new northeast is destined to play a leading role in new India.”
