Fourteen new fire stations will soon be established in Karachi under public-private partnership, Karachi Administrator Laeeq Ahmed said Monday.
Last week, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation received 48
fire tenders and two water bowsers from the centre. The KMC distributed 24 fire
tenders in different industrial zones.
âThe remaining 24 fire tenders and two bowsers were included
in the KMC fire brigade fleet,â Ahmed said.
The KMC Fire Brigade Department now has 46 fire tenders,
Zubair nominated as convener FPCCI panel on sick units

PESHAWAR: President, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCI) Mian Nasir Hayat Magoon has nominated Zubair Ali as convener of committee on revival of sick industrial units across the country.
Zubair Ali had also served as Vice President FPCCI and is sitting executive member of the Federation, said a press release issued here Sunday. Beside, remaining president, Peshawar Chamber of Traders and Small Industries, he was also elected as executive committee member of Mohmand Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) for several terms. In capacity as Vice President FPCCI Zubair Ali had rendered matchless services for the business community and succeeded in collecting all chambers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on single platform and arranged several exposure visits to various countries for the industrialists of the province.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Chairman, Qurban Ali urged on Sunday for enhancing the China and Pakistan economic and trade connectivity through the nearer region of Gilgit Baltistan(GB).
The senior business leader said that the GB region is a gateway for CPEC to provide opportunities to the Chinese business community and investors to connect with China as well as other regional countries including Central Asian Republics (CARs) to get benefits from their economies said a statement by FPCCI.

KARACHI: Businessmen on Friday urged the government to allow dine-in at restaurants to save the industry from closure, a statement said.
Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo and All Pakistan Restaurant Association (APRA) Convener Athar Sultan Chawla appealed the government and the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) to reconsider the closure of dining facilities.
They said that the restaurant industry was already suffering severe financial losses as a result of prolonged lockdowns during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, and now some steps taken by the government during the second wave, this industry was on the brink of collapse.
