Prof Prasad in his Budget response said like all other Budgets in the recent years announced by Government, this one will result in hopelessness. He said the Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has carefully avoided giving any information on the coronavirus crisis. “Sayed-Khaiyum is imagining that everything will be magically resolved by the end of October. The 2021-2022 National Budget is just based on the assumption,” he said. “There is a lot of uncertainties, doubts and lack of carefully planned expectation of what is likely to happen in the next couple of months.
