The following statements were issued by Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), in response to President Biden s first address to a joint session of Congress:
Failure to acknowledge the border crisis: In his address to Congress and the American people, President Joe Biden utterly ignored masses of illegal aliens crossing our border – a crisis he created. Many of these migrants are unaccompanied children caught up in a humanitarian, national security and public health crisis. Even worse, the president has offered no viable plan of action to end the crisis that is growing worse by the day.
The annual refugee resettlement kerfuffle is underway.
As usual, on one side are the immigration expansionists: President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, congressional Democrats and predictable GOP defectors, immigration lawyers who see dollar signs in their futures, resettlement agencies who also profit disproportionately, and the tirelessly active pro-immigration lobby.
On the other side are American voters, who want to see an admission cap thatâs consistent with the nationâs ability to absorb refugees, the current economy and, in 2021, the possible consequences from a still-threatening COVID-19 that refugees might carry. Americans also want to maintain the countryâs well-deserved image as a compassionate, caring nation.
NJ Lawmaker Proposes Using CARES Funds for Property Tax Relief Instead of Stimulus Payments for Illegal Immigrants
New Jersey Assemblyman Gerry Scharfenberger, a Republican, proposed in April a bill urging the governor to reconsider diverting $40 million in federal economic relief funds to illegal immigrants and instead use the funds for property tax relief to New Jersey’s struggling homeowners.
Homeowners in New Jersey have been struggling for years to pay their property taxes, even before the COVID-19 pandemic started, Scharfenberger told The Epoch Times in an interview. The problem was compounded by the impact of pandemic restrictions on the state economy, he added. “We have the highest property tax burden in the union.”

Former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials are slamming President Joe Biden’s touting of massive amnesty for illegal aliens in his address to a joint session of Congress while illegal aliens pour across the United States-Mexico border.
As Breitbart News reported, Biden asked Congress to pass his plan giving amnesty to roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the U.S.
“I kept my commitment and I sent a comprehensive immigration bill to Congress. If you believe we need a secure border pass it. If you believe in a pathway to citizenship pass it,” Biden told Congress.
