ISLAMABAD, Mar. 16 (Gwadar Pro) - Pakistan has taken elaborate measures to vaccinate millions of its population - thanks to the Chinese government for speedy delivery of vaccine which is still making its way to Pakistan in batches.
Officials told this correspondent that another batch of China s Sinopharm vaccine will arrive on March 16, 2021 which will be given to elderly population ( 60 & above) as well as the critical patients of COVID-19.
Pakistani officials confirmed that mass vaccination centers have been set up across Pakistan just ahead of the arrival of 500,000 doses of Sinopharm Vaccine.
We have set up mass vaccination centers in Islamabad, Multan, Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar. More will be established across other cities, a senior official dealing with the Vaccine program project in Pakistan told this correspondent on telephone.

ZURICH (Reuters) - Switzerland expects to get 1 million vaccine doses from Moderna and Pfizer this month, a senior Federal Health Ministry vaccine official said on Tuesday, after receiving some 1.1 million in January and February. We have steadily rising delivery volumes every month, and we expect that will help us reach our targets, Nora Kronig, who heads the health ministry s vaccine logistics effort, adding 900,000 people have so far had their first shot and 320,000 a second booster.
