Transform delivery of VA benefits as Under Secretary for Benefits
Serving as the principal advisor to the VA Secretary on non-medical Veterans matters, you will:
Be responsible for the delivery of services and benefits to Veterans and their beneficiaries.
Oversee the development of legislative initiatives.
Implement policies.
Work to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
As a senior leader, you will use extensive leadership and communication skills, ethics expertise, and knowledge of VA benefits policy to negotiate with stakeholders and partners at all levels.
You’ll need to effectively communicate VBA’s major initiatives to a wide range of individuals and groups, including members of Congress, Veterans Service Organizations, other government entities and the private sector. The Under Secretary for Benefits is a presidential appointee.

WASHINGTON, May 7, 2021 /PRNewswire/ The U.S. Postal Service today announced its financial results for the 2021 second quarter ended March 31, reporting a net loss of $82 million, compared to a net loss of approximately $4.5 billion for the same quarter last year, as a pandemic surge in demand for package deliveries was not enough to offset increased operating costs and a decline in revenue from mail services.
Excluding non-cash workers compensation adjustments for each period, the loss for the 2021 second quarter would have been approximately $1.7 billion, compared to a loss of approximately $1.9 billion for the same quarter last year.
