KARACHI: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani on Sunday said that the decision announced by Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood regarding the resumption of 5-day regular classes from March 1 (Monday) is creating confusion among the students.
Speaking to the media, Saeed Ghani said that as per the decision taken by the provincial government, schools will allow 50% attendance, adding that the government cannot allow 100% attendance due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Emphasising the importance of following the coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs), the minister added that children going to school will be required to maintain social distancing in the classroom.

ISLAMABAD: Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood on Thursday made an important announcement regarding the resumption of regular classes at schools.
Taking to Twitter, the education minister announced that all schools will go back to regular 5 day classes from Monday March 1.
“Restrictions imposed in some major cities on schools to conduct staggered classes was only till Feb 28,” he added.
Shafqat Mehmood said that the announcement applies to every educational institution in the designated cities where restrictions had been imposed.
“Allah SWTs infinite mercy that we are returning to normal.”
As per its Single National Curriculum (SNC) textbook policy, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has allowed private publishers to develop textbooks aligned with the student learning objectives (SLOs) prescribed by it.

ISLAMABAD: The education ministry has shared the web links of all the national and international scholarships on its website on the instructions of Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood.
According to the education ministry, the facility has been introduced in order to facilitate the students looking for educational opportunities.
With the provision of this facility, the students will have the choice to select a suitable option among different scholarships donors for the same program. Now the students will not have to search the scholarships on different websites, it added.
