Effingham County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24-year-old Christopher M. Beasley of Mattoon. Beasley was arrested on IDOC Warrant for Parole Violations, with new charges of manufacturing/distributing meth of 100-400 grams, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Beasley is still currently in the Effingham County Jail.
Effingham Police Department arrested 23-year-old Dillon R. Manhart of Oblong, IL. Manhart was arrested for violation of order of protection, an Edgar County warrant for domestic battery/physical contact, and a Clark County violation of an order of protection.
Effingham Police Department arrested 18-year-old James H. Weber of Effingham. Weber was arrested for driving without a drivers license. Weber was released with a notice to appear.

David Chipman is undergoing the confirmation hearings to become head of the ATF. There’s not much chance of him getting a lot of Republican support, either. After all, Chipman has made his post ATF career all about his support for curtailing the Second Amendment rights of American citizens.
If Chipman is going to get confirmed, he needs Democrats to unify behind his nomination.
