1. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has reported 1585 new COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency reported that the country sadly recorded eight additional deaths in the last 24 hours, raising the overall total in the nation since the start of the pandemic to 1,350.
2. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says presentation of a valid National Identification Number (NIN) would be compulsory for all categories of vehicle registration from April.
Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM), Bisi Kazeem, Corps Public Education Officer, who made the announcement in a statement on Saturday, mandated that all applicants for the National Driver’s Licence must present their NIN before being captured for any class of licence.
Assistant Corps Marshal Adeleye, the Zonal Commanding Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Zone RS12, comprising the said states, stated this while monitoring the Mobile Court sittings going on within the Zone as part of an assessment of the ongoing Operation Zero Tolerance for Traffic Crashes 2020 (OZ-2020).
