Rite Aid now administering Covid-19 vaccine at all stores with limited walk-in access
Rite Aid is now administering the Covid-19 vaccine at all locations in Delaware and 16 other states.
While scheduling appointments in advance is recommended to reduce wait time and guarantee the availability of the vaccine, Rite Aid is also adding walk-in vaccines on a limited basis in every store.
Enabling walk-in appointments supports customers that may not have access to the internet while also meeting the need for flexibility for customers. People interested in a walk-in appointment are asked to visit their local Rite Aid to confirm availability, a release stated.

The number of U.S. residents who are fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine reached 100 million on Friday.
In total, 101,407,308 adults have been fully vaccinated. That represents 30.5% of the total population and 39% of adults.
The milestone comes less than two days after President Joe Biden, during an address to a joint session of Congress, urged everyone in the country to get a vaccine, calling it a “dose of hope.”
In the last two weeks, the rate of vaccinations has declined. Vaccinations reach a high on April 16, when the seven-day average was over 3.3 million. It is now at about 2.5 million, a decline of 24%.

MICHIGAN â Rite Aid announced on Friday that it is administering COVID-19 vaccines on a walk-in basis in all its Michigan stores, and anyone 16 or older is eligible.
Officials still recommend scheduling appointments in advance to reduce wait time and guarantee availability of the vaccine.
Enabling walk-in appointments supports customers that may not have access to the internet while also giving customers more flexibility.
The state received 351,920 first and second doses as part of the state allocation, according to the Baker Administration. The state has also received more than 200,000 additional doses through federally qualified community health centers as well as pharmacies that are part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Partnership.
Health systems and health care providers received nearly 140,000 doses this week. Mass vaccination sites received nearly 120,000 doses. The federally run mass vaccination site at Hynes Convention Center received over 40,000 doses. Fairfax County now has enough supply to vaccinate whoever wants to be vaccinated, the county health department announced yesterday (April 28).
This comes only a week after the county said there wasn’t enough vaccine to meet the new demand from eligibility expanding into with the move to Phase 2. Several days after that, vaccine appointments on Vaccine Finder still remained hard to come by due to the short supply.
But that has now changed, thanks to an increase in supplies at the state and federal levels, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeff McKay told Reston Now.
Plus, he says, there are now more providers giving vaccines including grocery stores and pharmacies as well as private practices.
