EveryoneOn Connects K-12 Families With Internet Services
The nonprofit EveryoneOn has helped more than 800,000 Americans find low-cost Internet service and digital resources, and its outreach has only become more important for K-12 students with the advent of remote education.
July 13, 2021 • For nearly a decade, the national digital inclusion nonprofit EveryoneOn has worked to close the digital divide through outreach campaigns designed to direct low-income families to affordable Internet services now needed for everything from remote education to work itself.
With K-12 digital equity being thrust into the spotlight during COVID-19 school closures, the nonprofit’s efforts have become arguably more important than ever.

It would be a grievous error to assume that President Joe Biden and his merry band of Democratic lawmakers only wish to tamper with your text messages over supposed COVID-19 “misinformation.” Indeed, the very idea that they would make such a suggestion should send a chill down the spine of any freedom-loving American regardless of political affiliation.
RedState’s Kira Davis recently wrote a piece outlining the Biden administration’s plan to “activate left-wing groups and activists to put pressure on phone carriers to censor SMS text messages that may contain ‘misinformation’ about COVID, the vaccines, and heaven knows what else they may consider to be wrong information.”

The order “targets Big Tech” alright. But the negatives are nebulous at best:
“The order also expands Biden’s assault on Big Tech companies such as Amazon and Facebook. It establishes an administration-wide policy to scrutinize mergers more heavily, including completed mergers. It zeroes-in on so-called ‘killer acquisitions’ involving nascent competitors, the kind of deal critics say Facebook engaged in when it bought Instagram and WhatsApp.
“It takes aim at a key Silicon Valley business model: The collection and use of large amounts of consumer data, and the incentive for tech companies with multiple lines of business to cross-promote their own services at the expense of competition.”
