Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia rapper AR-Ab has been holed up in a 6×8 prison cell at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) of Philadelphia as he awaits sentencing on a litany of charges, including conspiracy and distribution of crack cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine. But according to an Instagram post shared to his account on December 8, he’s not receiving some much needed medical care.
While AR-Ab’s manager Poerilla originally mentioned a “laceration” on his head, it wasn’t apparent how he wound up with the injury until now. During a recent interview with
Da Interrogation Room, his little brother Lik Moss made it clear just how dire AR-Ab’s condition really is.
During a recent appearance on
Da Interrogation Room, the rapper s brother, Lik Moss, said that his brother s health has taken a turn for the worst, and the staff at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) of Philadelphia simply hasn t done enough. Right now, he s in a position where he can t walk at all, Lik said around the interview s 4-minute mark. But he s on a block with my brother and little cousin so they kind of taking care of him right now.
According to Lik, some of these issues stem from a stabbing incident involving Ab. Lik explains that Ab was on the phone when a man in the block started to go on a rampage. The man ran through the area slicing random inmates and Ab was one of the victims. This wound wasn t properly cared for, causing an infection that spread through his body.
AR-Ab, who is currently awaiting sentencing on several charges ranging from conspiracy and distribution of crack cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine, is alleging harsh treatment behind bars by prison officials.
A post shared to his Instagram account on Tuesday (December 8) stated the rapper, real name Abdul West, had yet to be treated for a kidney infection and currently in solitary confinement without any justification. The post also petitions for people to contact Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to aid Ab in receiving proper treatment.
“While in the Federal Detention Center (FDC) of Philadelphia, @Ar Ab 32 has sustained a serious infection & is being denied medical attention,” the post read. “31 days later, he continues to be mistreated and held in isolation without reason or merit. His life is at risk if he doesn’t receive medical addition immediately.”
