Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Saturday that negotiated settlement was the best option for durable peace in Afghanistan. He said that Pakistan wished to engage senior leaders of Afghanistan so that they sat together and led Afghanistan to durable peace. The lasting peace in Afghanistan was possible through a negotiated settlement, Qureshi maintained.
He said this after chairing a meeting of the District Coordination Committee at the DC office. The Foreign Minister stated that he invited Afghan Foreign Minister Haneef Atmar to visit Pakistan. Similarly, Pakistan was trying to contact senior leadership of Afghan Taliban and leaders of Northern areas of Afghanistan, he said and added that Afghans themselves would have to resolve issues hurting the peace process in their country. Report on illegal transfer of population to IIOJ&K launched

Islamabad : Centre for Law and Security (CLAS) in collaboration with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Secretariat Islamabad organised a report launch and a panel discussion on the Illegal Transfer of population to Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) and International Law at Kashmir House, Islamabad, says a press release.
The panel discussion focused on India’s violation of international law, lawfare options for Pakistan and the initiatives the Pakistani Government has taken with regards to Kashmir.
