DESPITE calls for a total country lockdown to deal with the increasing Covid-19 cases in Malaysia, the current administration decided to tighten only the third movement control order (MCO 3.0) standard operating procedures (SOP) effective May 25.
However, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced a full MCO (FMCO) equivalent to the MCO 1.0 that was announced nationwide in 2020, from June 1 to 14 as the daily infection of 9,020 Covid-19 cases was recorded on Saturday (May 29).
“Only essential economic and service sectors listed by the National Security Council (NSC) will be allowed to operate during FMCO,” he added.
PUTRAJAYA: A total of 30 mobile vaccination trucks will be activated in People’s Housing Project (PPR) areas and construction sites in the federal cap.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 The Federal Territories Ministry is targeting to achieve the herd community earlier with more than 80 per cent or about 2 million of its population, especially in Kuala Lumpur, to complete the Covid-19 vaccination by this October.
Its minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the effort was being made through the [email protected] Mobile Vaccine Truck and the involvement of several private clinics to provide an alternative to the existing Vaccination Centres (PPV).

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The Federal Territories Ministry has identified and are monitoring several Ramadan bazaars and shopping malls here that were visited by hundreds of Covid-19 positive individuals and close contacts.
Its Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the list, which was based on data collected from the Hotspot Identification by Dynamic Engagement (HIDE) system, would be brought to the National Security Council (MKN) meeting on Friday (May 7). Health Minister (Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba) has forwarded me the list. There are some shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur that have been visited by 700 people who are close contacts.

PUTRAJAYA, May 3 The implementation of targeted movement control order (MCO) in several localities in Kuala Lumpur is seen as an appropriate approach for the federal capital to deal with Covid-19, said Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
He said in the special National Security Council (MKN) meeting on Covid-19, chaired by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today, several state governments have requested for the reimplementation of the movement control oder (MCO) due to the increase in the number of Covid-19 cases.
