KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 The Federal Territories Ministry will strengthen the urban farming programme to allow the farm produce to be commercialised and sustain the activity for a long time.
Its Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said this would enable those involved in the programme to generate their own capital to sustain the activity and not solely rely on government’s assistance.
FEDERAL Territory Day this time around comes amid an incredibly challenging time economically and socially.
Development plans for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan have taken a back seat over the past year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and movement control order.
Various short- and long-term measures have been designed to uplift the needy, while making sure developmental aspects of the territories are given equal attention.
StarMetro spoke with Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who took the helm last year, on what was to be, what could not happen and what the future holds for the three territories and its residents.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Saiful Azly Kamaruddin (pic) said the mayor agreed to the proposal.
“The city has 309 CCTVs for crime prevention efforts and to assist my personnel when conducting investigations.
“I have proposed that the number be increased and the mayor has agreed. We expect to install 2,062 CCTVs in the city focusing on crime hotspots.
