FG releases fresh regulations for Covid-19 On President Mohammadu Buhari Wednesday issued Coronavirus Disease Health Protection Regulations 2021. The President, through a statement from the Ministry of Information and Culture, said a physical distance of at least two metres shall be maintained at all times between persons at all gatherings. Notwithstanding the provision of Regulation 1, he also insisted that no gathering of more than 50 persons shall hold in an enclosed space, except for religious purposes, in which case the gathering shall not exceed 50% capacity of the space. The President in the statement all directed that all persons in public gatherings, whether in enclosed or open spaces, shall adhere to the provisions of Part 2 of these Regulations.

BENIN CITY – The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has committed to sustaining partnership with the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and other relevant agencies to improve services at the Benin Airport and increase air traffic to the state. The governor, who made the submission in commemoration of the International Civil Aviation Day, marked by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), said the state has made tremendous effort to reposition the Benin Airport, which has yielded positive fruits. According to him, “I am elated today that planes can land in Benin City at night because of the decision we undertook to partner with the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) and the Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NIMET) to install key equipment required for smooth night operations at the airport.
