According to Bidasolo, her 10-person team of caregivers “help seniors stay in their homes, wherever that may be.” They start out being companions to their clients, providing housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication management, for which they are specially trained. As clients’ health issues become more serious, Bidasolo often works in conjunction with hospice nurses, social workers, and chaplains for patients who remain at home. As the end draws near, clients or their families often choose for them to spend their last days receiving the specialized care provided at Hospice House in Bend. Partners in Care’s new Hospice House receives $1 million challenge grant BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) Partners In Care, Central Oregon’s leading provider of end-of-life care, announced Tuesday it has received a $1 million challenge grant from the Tykeson Family Foundation to support construction of the organization’s new Hospice House, a specialty hospital for hospice patients. The grant, designed to accelerate giving to a $6 million capital campaign, will provide a dollar-for-dollar match of all campaign gifts and pledges made before June 30. After nearly 20 years providing in-patient hospice care in a six-bed unit, Partners In Care is constructing a new 12-bed Hospice House on its campus in Bend.
