WASHINGTON - Melania Trump didn t let the coronavirus pandemic break a decades-long tradition of first ladies visiting a Washington children s hospital at the holidays.
On Tuesday, she made her fourth and final holiday visit as first lady to Children s National Hospital.
âWonderful to be here,â she said. âThis is one of my favourite events during the holiday season.â
Melania Trump’s return to the campaign trail will have to wait. The first lady’s chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, said Tuesday that Mrs. Trump continues to feel better every day following her recent recovery from COVID-19 but has a lingering cough. Grisham said the first lady has decided not to accompany President Donald Trump to a campaign rally Tuesday.
