The Senate on Wednesday voted 52-42 to restore regulations on methane gas leaks in oil and gas production that the Trump administration had loosened last summer. Three Republicans Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), and Rob Portman (Ohio) voted with the Democrats to overturn former President Donald Trump s rule using the Congressional Review Act, a 1996 law that lets Congress kill recently adopted regulations. Six Republicans will deliver speeches before Biden’s joint address and will reportedly discuss their issues with Biden’s first months in office, Fox News first reported. The Republicans giving speeches include Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst, North Carolina Sen. Thom Tillis, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall, North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven and Wyoming Sen. WASHINGTON - The acting chief of the U.S. Capitol Police warned lawmakers Thursday that militia members involved in the Jan. 6 riot want to blow up the Capitol and kill as many members as possible during President Joe Biden s first congressional address.
The stark warning about another potential threat to Congress - which has not been corroborated by other law enforcement agencies - comes as a date for Biden s first address on Capitol Hill has not been set. New presidents typically deliver a speech to a joint session of Congress in February.

This group was willing to delay democracy and obstruct the transfer of power to a duly elected president and after their party’s leader incited a riot, they refused
