StartupBlink, an Israel-based tech research centre, released its latest ranking of global startup ecosystems on Wednesday.
The report algorithmically ranks 1,000 cities and 100 countries on a variety of tech factors, including the sheer number of startups, accelerators and co-working spaces in a location; the size and market share of a city or country’s tech firms; and the overall business environment when it comes to factors such as regulations, censorship, R&D investment and available tech infrastructure.
The rankings look to highlight both the well-established cities and countries when it comes to starting a tech firm as well as the regions on the rise.

On 1 July, UN Secretary-General António Guterres has appointed Vladanka Andreeva of North Macedonia as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, with the host Government s approval.
Ms. Andreeva brings 21 years of experience in international development, humanitarian coordination, advocacy, and partnership building, which she has acquired within the United Nations and externally through multiple assignments across Europe and Asia. At the United Nations, she most recently held the position of Country Director for the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) in Cambodia and led the United Nations Country Team Task Force for COVID-19 preparedness and response.
