Solano supervisors move forward on setting Census advisory committee
FAIRFIELD Solano County supervisors will each appoint three representatives to sit on the Census 2020 redistricting advisory committee, with at least one unincorporated resident from each.
However, those in-county selections do not have to be restricted to the board member’s own district, a compromise to help Supervisor Erin Hannigan, whose 1st District has no county area.
The action Tuesday came after an update on redistricting procedures.
The board was told that the Census count, which was expected to be released by April 25, will instead be released at the end of September.
