This letter is in response to John E. Milnes’ letter.
It seems he has been misinformed about the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA)’s role in development review and the conservation and protection of Cooper Marsh Conservation Area.
I agree with Milnes’ statement Cooper Marsh Conservation Area is an environmental treasure. The RRCA recognized its environmental significance so much so that it purchased 668 acres of land, parcel by parcel, throughout the 1980s to conserve and protect the land which now forms Cooper Marsh in perpetuity. The RRCA continues to manage and enhance Cooper Marsh, not only for visitors, but for the flora and fauna who call it home.
