Honduran migrant is struck and killed by US Border Patrol vehicle while hiding in tall grass after crossing from Mexico into Texas
A Honduran man was killed and a second man was injured after they were run over by a border patrol vehicle Thursday while hiding in grass
The incident took place near the U.S.-Mexico border near Kennedy County, Texas
The migrants were with a group of individuals who had cross the border and were struck by the vehicle in an area surrounded by thick and tall grass
The injured migrant led the border officers to the other man who had been struck before paramedics declared him dead at scene of the accident
Illegal Alien Run Over and Killed by Border Patrol Vehicle
KINGSVILLE, TX – On April 29, 2021, at approximately 1:00 p.m., two illegal aliens were run over by a Border Patrol vehicle in Kenedy County near Kingsville, TX. One illegal alien, a male Honduran national, died on the scene as a result of his injuries. Another illegal alien was transferred to a hospital in Harlingen via air ambulance and was discharged later in the day after medical personnel determined he did not suffer any serious injuries.
At the time of the incident, Border Patrol Agents were patrolling an area known for smuggling activity when they observed fresh footprints believed to belong to illegal aliens passing through the area. Agents on foot and in vehicles continued to search the area which was covered with extremely thick and tall grass interspersed with groves of taller vegetation.
Ford Ranger Filled with Weed Floated Across the Rio Grande
EDINBURG, TX – On Thursday, Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents seized approximately 60 pounds of cocaine and nearly 900 pounds of marijuana.
Brownsville Border Patrol Station agents working near Brownsville, TX, observed a white Ford Ranger driving away from banks of the Rio Grande. As agents responded to the area, the vehicle changed direction and headed back towards the Rio Grande. Smugglers then attempted to load the vehicle onto a makeshift raft which was used to bring the vehicle into the United States. The vehicle became stuck on the riverbank during the process of loading it onto the raft. The driver was seen jumping into the river and fleeing into Mexico. Agents extracted 32 bundles of marijuana with a weight of approximately 730 pounds. The seized marijuana is valued at over $500K.
